Art for AIDS

We are proud to work with WestCare California to host the annual Art for AIDS event at COMMON SPACE! Art for AIDS will take place, in conjunction with ArtHop, on Thursday, October 5 from 5-8PM. Proceeds from Art for AIDS benefits the 2017 Fresno AIDS Walk & 5K Run.

Haven't heard of the AIDS Walk? The Fresno AIDS Walk is an HIV/AIDS awareness event hosted by The Living Room, a project of WestCare California. Annually, this event pays homage to those affected by the disease and remember those we have list.

The Enigma of Fresno or Why I've Jumped on the Fres-YES train

Quick! Name the armpit of California. Chances are you thought 'Fresno'. That's what I like to think of as a self-fulfilling prophecy. Since moving (begrudgingly at first) to Fresno, I've had my preconceptions proven wrong and met some of the most passionate, forward-thinking locals that prove Fresno isn't as bad as pop-culture makes it seem.

Now, I'd be pretty obtuse not to recognize that Fresno (and the county by extension) has a number of socio-economic issues, and there are thousands who have every right to feel as if Fresno has not done enough for them and their family...BUT...coping with and overcoming those issues is precisely what makes living here so unique.
