A premier black tie Queer recognition event for the Central Valley. Our QueerOut Award Gala, in partnership with our MY LGBT PLUS program, recognizes six LGBT+/Queer identifying individuals, a straight ally, a business and nonprofit for their contributions to the LGBT+ community.
Our COMMON Leader Dinner is a mental health moment. The dinner is a chance for us to have candid conversations about the burnout, fatigue, and trauma we face in running programs, but in a safe place. Conversations will be facilitated with uplifting resources on how we can be better leaders. What is talked about around the dinner table stays at the table.
Starting January 2019
Drag Story Time is a family friendly event where local drag queens and drag queens read children’s books. The event is an afternoon of fun for all ages where the focus is to highlight love and acceptance. Being different is beautiful. Remember, reading is fundamental.
A one day genderless pop up shop that allows people to browse items on display, and go home with outfits that represent them. Each Queer Pop Up Shop is a brown bag sale. For $5.00, you get all the clothes, shoes and accessories that fit in your bag. This event is important because LGBT+/Queer people face discrimination and harassment when shopping at public stores. All are welcome to attend this event.
